This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit www.baremetal.co.ke (the “Site”).

PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We refer to this information as “Purchase Information.” If you choose to use an integration such as Google or GitHub when logging into the app, we will collect applicable Purchase Information from your integrated profile. When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Purchase Information.

HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We use the Purchase Information that we collect generally to provide the services through the Site (including processing your payment information, and providing you with invoices and order confirmations). Additionally, we use this Purchase Information to: Communicate with you;
Provide the BareMetal service to you;
Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services. We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers interact with the Site). We also use device information to help run online advertisements including retargeting ads.

DATA PARTNERS

When you visit the Site, log in, register or open an email, cookies, ad beacons, and similar technologies may be used by our online data partners or vendors to associate these activities with information they or others have about you, including your email address. We (or service providers on our behalf) may then send communications and marketing to these email addresses. You may opt out of our email marketing by using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of the emails.

SHARING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We share your Personal Information with third parties to help us use your Personal Information, as described above. We use Google Analytics to help us understand how our customers use the Site; YouTube to advertise our services and to provide services to you -- you can read more about how Google uses your Personal Information here: https://policies.google.com/privacy. Another example of third party service provider that we share Personal Information with to communicate with you and provide services to you is MailChimp. Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant, or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

DO NOT TRACK

Please note that we do not alter our Site’s data collection and use practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser. Some web browsers incorporate a “Do Not Track” feature that signals to websites that you visit that you do not want to have your online activity tracked. How browsers communicate the Do Not Track signal is not yet uniform. For this reason, our website does not currently interpret, respond to, or alter their practices when they receive Do Not Track signals. Please note that third parties may collect personal information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you visit our website or other online websites and services. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

Our services are not directed to or intended for use by minors. Consistent with the requirements of applicable law, if we learn that we have received any information directly from a minor without his or her parent’s verified consent, we will use that information only to respond directly to that child (or his or her parent or legal guardian) to inform the minor that he or she cannot use our services and subsequently will delete that information.

DATA RETENTION

When you register through the Site, we will maintain your Purchase Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.

CHANGES

We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons.
